EXPERT HANDS ON TREATMENT

Our treatments are suitable for everyone!

From babies to senior citizens, office workers to pregnant women

At Clayhall Osteopaths we aim to enhance the body’s healing capacity by applying the restorative powers of Osteopathy to keep you pain-free – not only do we treat common back problems, but we also treat more complex pain from your head to your toes.

Our techniques involve manual manipulation of the body, together with exercise and lifestyle advice, to help with a range of conditions such as back pain, rehabilitation from orthopedic surgery, whiplash, repetitive strain (RSI), and sports injuries.

We use your first appointment to record a full medical history so we can fully understand the nature of your condition and its symptoms. We then conduct both an active standing examination and a passive examination laying down to obtain a working diagnosis of your condition and use the results of these tests as the basis for your personalised treatment program.

How Osteopathy is beneficial

It is an effective treatment for a wide range of physical conditions including:

  • Sciatica, neuralgia, and fibromyalgia
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Occupational strain
  • Arthritic pain
  • Postural problems
  • Lower and upper back pain/frozen shoulder
  • Sports injuries and impaired performance
  • Joint pain/dysfunction in wrists, elbows, hips, knees, & ankles
As Osteopaths we are registered primary health care professionals. We work under the principle that there may be many contributing factors to your symptoms, and we will therefore evaluate not only the symptomatic area but also the associated areas that may be contributing to the issue, including; past trauma, environmental factors, and your family’s health history.

Osteopathy is based on the principle that the structure and function of the body are intimately related. If the structure is not balanced and healthy then the function is affected. For example injuries such as a sprained ankle can lead the whole body to compensate for a limp, causing stiffness or restricted mobility in the pelvis, spine, rib cage, shoulders, or neck causing pain and inflammation in these areas.
